The times are a changin’
October 8, 2007 The Woman, fearless-gaijin, friends No CommentsI once again apologize for the lack of updates, but things have been as busy as ever. I’ll start this micro-update with the bad news. For those who don’t know, one of my best friends had recently arrived in Japan to work for the same company as me. A couple of days ago I received a message from him saying that due to a variety of reasons he thought it best to pack up and go back home to the US. We both decided to embark on this adventure together, and the fact that we actually went through with it was awesome. After reading his message I was obviously disappointed, but I understand his reasons and wish him the best of luck.
In some better news, I was fortunate enough last week to meet a very interesting girl named Kaori, and a few days and dates later we are now a couple. I usually try to avoid the whole relationship thing, but she somehow tricked me into committing, and I have been very happy since. She was obviously drawn in by my flawless use of the Japanese language, and I was attracted by her extremely shy personality (see sarcasm). At any rate, we’re both having a good time thus far, and we will see where things go.
I have quite a few pictures to throw up on the site, but unfortunately I work tomorrow so I may not get things updated for a bit here. So, until next post, mata ne.
P.S. Now that I have been in Japan for over a month (feels like much more than that), I think I am feeling comfortable enough with my surroundings to upgrade from n00b-gaijin to fearless-gaijin, hence it is done.
